DPX-1 Shield underwater tablet housing and DPX-7 Sea Falcon protective and functional carrier shipments with their accessories scheduled for May 2022 are in progress.
DPX-7 Sea Falcon protective and functional carrier is the hydro dynamic carrier unit for the Shield housing. DPX-7 Sea Falcon provides an extra level of protection while keeping the DPX-1 Shield underwater tablet housing case firmly tight. It prevents reflections with the View angle rotation mechanism. A glove box compartment for carrying various auxiliary tools. Gadgets like diving knives, action cameras, acoustic modems, laser scalers, relocation devices or lights can also be attached to the carrier.
Furthermore DPX-7 Sea Falcon is available with customizable color, pattern & branding.
Lake Van accommodates one of the worlds largest
microbialites structures. Divers recently discovered new microbialites areas
with beautiful formations.
Microbialites are organosedimentary deposits formed from
interaction between benthic microbial communities (BMCs) and detrital or
chemical sediments. They played an important role in the evolution of the
Earth's atmosphere, since they were ancestral niches where the first microbial
metabolisms capable of releasing oxygen arose.
Innovasub is planning to carry out photogrammetry work on
microbialites at Lake Van using DPX-1 Shield underwater housing with Viewport Feature.
The shooting area of the photogrammetry work can very easily be monitored on the large screen of the DPX-Shield underwater housing. The captured images will be processed using DPX-101 3D Construction Services.
About the Viewport Feature of DPX-1 Shield:
Viewport Feature is a
special model of DPX-1 Shield. It is easier to take photos and videos
underwater. Because Viewport is basically a porthole part of the robust DPX-1Shield
underwater housing from which the tablet camera can be accessed. The benefit of
taking videos and photos comes from using the tablets large display screen.
Professional underwater camera systems requires an extra monitor housing so
that the image is reflected to a larger screen than of the camera itself. Whereas DPX-1 Shield screen is much bigger
than most of the available monitor screens. Hence, you do not have to carry an
extra underwater camera with you. You can comfortably review the captured images
on your tablet’s large display. It is now possible for any diver to obtain 3D
models of underwater archaeological remains, shipwrecks and dive sites very
quickly.
About DPX-101 | 3-D Reconstruction Services:
You do not have to be an expert in photogrammetry or
photography. Innovasub’s instruction manual outlines all the steps necessary
for easy 3D mapping.
We will be providing online support as well. Furthermore,
you will be accessing the model you have created with a single click from your
phone, tablet or computer.
Like a magic wand, DPX-3
Dagger underwater stylus will give life to smart tablets underwater.
When a smart tablet placed inside DPX-1 Shield underwater housing
then DPX-3 Dagger can active touch screen functions. This enables the
user to fully utize smart tablet applications successfully underwater.
Marine
Biology academicians and students of University Politechnica delle
Marche will utilize ORION Platform’s DPX-1 Shield and DPX-3
Dagger devices mainly for marine life identification and species counting
and taking notes underwater. Furthermore, together with Innovasub they
will develop new areas of use.
A Memorandum of Understanding is signed between Andrea Ginelli, Representative of the Students of the Marine Biology Degree course of University Politecnica delle Marche, and Innovasub cooperation for utilizing photogrammetry operations.
Professional & Recreational Scientific Instructor Trainer UTRtek,
Andrea Ginelli, will be performing photogrammetry shootings by utilizing
Innovasub’s ORION DPX-1 Underwater Tablet Housing part of Professional
Scientific Diver courses.
Andrea Ginelli from University Politecnica delle Marche has led the
project of creating the new scuba licences for UTRtek Scuba Agency. The
licencies had been established both Professional and Recreational Scientific
Diver, Instructor and Instructor Trainer with the opportunity of being rewarded
as Professional Marine Biology & Archaeology Diver.
ABOUT UTRtek:

DPX
ORION have reached the goal of 20,000 € on the Kickstarter Campaign.
It was an
exciting journey. DPX Orion's adventure started three years ago when Innovasub
decided to utilize smart tablets underwater. The first application that came to
mind was to enhance and utilize the navigation slates also known as combat
swimboards. Innovasub team was inspried by the film SOLO of Star Wars
series. The project's navigation slate was to be designed not only hydrodynamic
but also reminiscent of the intersteller starship Millenium Falcon.
The underwater smart tablet housing was the base product called DPX-1 Shield.
Team decided to build a platform around it and named the products around the
brightest star constellation ORION. The core components of the platform are
Housing, Tablet Housing Carrier, Stylus, Wireless Temperature and depth
sensor, 3-D mapping services. The DPX Platform is also open for
codes to App developers and device designers.
Three
years passed and the DPX ORION Platform came to life. It was decided to launch
the platform on the fund raising website Kickstarter. The idea was to catch the
attention of the Christmas shoppers. So Kickstarter campaign announced mid
December 2021. Thanks to all backers the campaign reached the goal of
20,000 € just 48 hours before the deadline and exceeded the rest of the
remaining time.
Innovasub Team is very grateful to all of their backers
that helped them to reach and exceed their goal.
Now
Innovasub is going to focus on preparing the reward orders of the
Kickstarter Campaign.

The factory acceptance test (FAT) procedure will provide the first view of system flaws, performance issues and usability weaknesses, representing a valuable mean for technically assessing project health & safety measures and safety requirements. Therefore, a list of test cases (or use cases) will be presented throughout the deliverable. Thanks to these tests, first every significant part and then the whole system (once everything is installed and connected), will be evaluated: this will allow to consider any problem that may arise and/or any weakness that may concern one or more parts of the system. Based on the results, it will be possible to proceed by solving the issues that appeared, to then obtain a fully functional infrastructure through which its suitability for the intended purposes can be demonstrated. The tests in question will be carried out both in the laboratory and in a controlled and simulated environment, including the Istanbul Aquarium, the open sea with the help of Italian Corps and, later, the sea environments (real missions at UCH and MPA sites). Istanbul Aquarium holds a leading position among worldwide aquariums thanks to its volume, variety of fish species, and the activities on travel routes. Visitors follow a geographical route that includes 16 themes and 1 rainforest going from the Black Sea towards the Pacific. The aquarium was designed by public aquarium design consultants OCEAN Projects. Divesafe Istanbul Aquarium tests lasted more than 3 months and revealed important information on the structural and functional components of the system. In the studies carried out for the Divesafe project, in which Innovasub is also a participator, the fat tests stage has been reached despite the pandemic. The works are carried out actively in the Istanbul Aquarium by taking the necessary precautions. Click here to see our YouTube channel and watch the video about factory acceptance test.

We have been working hard to study the structure of school curricula to find all possible connections between subjects, Ocean Literacy Principles and scuba diving training/practice, and finally… welcome to the Green Bubbles manual! You will find a series of practical and theoretical modules covering school curricula subjects in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Physics. Each module links with one or more of the established Ocean Literacy Principles, and offers a range of resources – including how to best connect the topic covered in the module with aspects of the scuba diving (or snorkeling) training and experience. Thanks to its intuitive visual tagging system, you can use the manual starting from elements of the diving and snorkeling experience, to find the best ways and link them with school topics.
