DPX-5 Rigel is an external module for the DPX-2 Orion application that collects and sends critical dive data to a mobile tablet. When completely charged, the module's battery supply lasts around 8 hours.
It can be simply recharged using a regular USB port. Innovasub creates unique research modules that measure physiological data like heart rate, ECG, EMG, and EEG. Wireless protocols are used by mobile tablet devices to obtain pressure, temperature, and battery information from the External Module. Each module has been pressure tested and may be used safely to depths of 80 meters.
DPX-5 Rigel is an external module for DPX-2 Orion application to collect crucial dive data and send it to the mobile tablet. It uses the wireless protocols and capabilities of your tablet to transmit the data.
The module has its battery supply with approximately 8 hours of life when fully charged. It is easily rechargeable via a standard USB connection. Innovasub R&D department manufactures custom designed research modules that measure physiological parameters such as heart rate ECG, EMG and EEG. Every single module is pressure tested and can be safely used to depths of 80 meters.
Mobile tablet devices receive the pressure, temperature and battery information from the External Module via wireless protocols. Wireless communication underwater is possible for short distances and since the module is placed next to the tablet device. This information is used to display the depth, temperature and external module battery condition by the DPX-2 Orion application.
