DPX-2 Orion is an application that not only records and displays depth and temperature information but also presents no deco time and deco stop times for SCUBA divers. Application uses this data to make mobile tablets function like the world's first programmable dive computer with an operating system and all its advantages. DPX-2 application is supported by any kind of tablet device that runs on Android or iOS (iPhone Operating System). This enables nearly any tablet device to be used with DPX-2 Orion application.

DPX-2 application uses an external module, named DPX-5 Rigel Depth and temperature sensor, to collect the related diving data underwater and send it to the smart tablets. It uses the wireless protocols and capabilities of the tablet to send the data. Wireless communication underwater is possible for short distances and since the module is placed very near to the tablet. The use of DPX-5 Rigel is mandatory for DPX-2 to work correctly. The DPX-2 application collects and analyzes data using the DPX-5 Rigel.

The DPX-2 Orion has the capacity of displaying one or two model’s no deco times, up to three decompression stop depths and their decompression time in minutes and seconds at the same time.

To use the DPX-2 Orion application efficiently you need to buy the Innovasub DPX-1 Shield. The system consists of a housing for mobile tablets and DPX-5 Rigel. The rugged, robust housing protects your tablet underwater. Moreover, if you buy DPX-3, you will be able to access the display for changing gas or for other useful menus such as having a look at underwater maps or displaying dive profile when using S-pen compatible devices.

DPX-5 Rigel docked on the Housing, to collect the related diving data underwater and send it to your tablet. It uses the wireless protocols and capabilities of your smart tablet to send the data. Wireless communication underwater is possible for short distances and since the module is placed very near to your smart tablet it is tested that it can send any kind of data without any problem.
